This year’s IPL is almost in its final stages. Now the second qualifier match and the final are left. Chennai Super Kings have already reached the finals. And which team will go to the final, it will be decided in the second qualifier match. The match will take place on Friday 26 May. Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians are going to be face to face in this match. Now it remains to be seen which team will make it to the finals.
However, in the last match i.e. in the Eliminator, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Supergiants came face to face. Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat. Because Mumbai and Lucknow already understand how difficult it can be for cricketers to bat later on a Chennai pitch. So Rohit Sharma’s team won the toss and decided to bat without taking any risk. Batting first, Mumbai scored 182 runs losing 8 wickets. When Lucknow fielded with a target of 183 runs, their team got all out for just 101 runs. Mumbai’s fielding against Lucknow was excellent. The bowlers also performed well. Madhwal took 5 wickets for just 5 runs in 3.3 overs. Thanks to this exceptional bowling, Lucknow was dismissed in just 16.3 overs.
Naveen-ul-Haq performed brilliantly for Lucknow but could not win the team in the end. He came out to bowl and took 4 wickets. But before bowling in this match, Rohit Sharma gave some advice to Mumbai bowler Madhwal. Which he has now disclosed. After the match on the IPL website, Mumbai batsman Suryakumar told Yadav what his plans were against Lucknow in the eliminator match.
Madhwal said, ‘Rohit Sharma asked me to bowl hard length. Also tells me wickets can help us. I tried to follow that suggestion. Me and Rohit bhai we also discussed in the hotel how to bowl. We were clear and firm that we will bowl like this. And in the end I played the match as planned.
Along with this, he also said, ‘Before the match, Rohit bhai and I plan together that if we bowl, where we can take wickets. Told me only one thing, not to worry. I say so.’
Mumbai has reached the second qualifier after defeating Lucknow in the Eliminator match of IPL. Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans will face off in the second qualifier match in Ahmedabad. Luck will decide who Chennai will face in the final of IPL. Now all eyes will be on Friday’s match. Now it has to be seen who will have the last laugh in that match, Hardik Pandya or Rohit Sharma.
