IPL 2023: Most runs on the boundary in a season of IPL – not Virat or Rohit, record in the name of young Indian

Every year new talented cricketers emerge from IPL. Although former cricketers were complaining from the beginning that nothing like this is happening this time. Right now the last phase of IPL is going on. Former cricketers who had earlier commented about the lack of new talent emerging would be proved somewhat wrong this time. Because youths like Rinku Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Verma, Akash have impressed everyone.

Young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing for Rajasthan Royals. He has been on fire with the bat since the start of this season. He has made records one after the other this season. He scored the fastest fifty in the history of IPL. His total collection is 625 in 14 matches. Run average 48.08. Strikerate 163.61. Most of the runs have come from boundaries and overs. He scored 77.44 percent of the total runs by sending the ball outside the ground. He hit 82 fours and 26 over boundaries in this entire tournament. And there he scored 448 runs. As a result of this outstanding performance, he has joined the list of most runs through boundaries. The rising star cricketer is behind Caribbean stars Chris Gayle and Andre Russell.

Kolkata’s Andre Russell is on top of the list of cricketers who have scored 500 runs in a single season. The Caribbean star scored 510 runs in 2019. Most of which he scored with the help of boundary. The Caribbean star hit 31 fours and 52 overs that year. Apart from Russell and Yasvi, the names of Sanath Jayasuriya and Chris Gayle are in this list.

Yashasvi is at number four in the list of five cricketers who have scored more than 500 runs in IPL, hitting most sixes and fours. In the first place is Andre Russell. Then Sanath Jayasuriya and Chris Gayle. However, despite reaching the finals last year, Rajasthan Royals bowed out of the IPL this year. He started the season well but lost his rhythm towards the end. Sanju Samson won seven out of 14 matches to finish fifth but is expected to break into the top four eventually. However, it can be said that if Yashvi had got a chance to play more matches, her bat would have thundered.
